Terms of Service
Effective: July 3, 2026
1. Acceptance and eligibility. These Terms govern your use of Northline (the “Service”), operated by Synthemo (“we,” “us”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. Northline is currently an invite-only beta: access requires an invitation, and we may limit, decline, or revoke access at our discretion. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and by using it you represent that you are. You need a Google account to sign in.
2. What Northline is. Northline lets you converse with AI personas. Everything the personas say, show, and sound like — video, voice, and text — is generated by artificial intelligence. The personas are not people, and nothing they say is professional advice. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice; consult a qualified professional for those needs. Persona responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate despite our safety measures.
3. Beta status. The Service is provided as a beta. Features may change, break, or be removed; availability is not guaranteed; and we may reset or migrate data, with advance notice where practical. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.
4. Acceptable use. You agree not to: (a) attempt to elicit sexually explicit content or otherwise circumvent the Service’s content boundaries or safety systems; (b) use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, or to generate content that does; (c) misrepresent Service output as a real person’s statements or likeness-approved content; (d) reverse engineer, scrape, or access the Service by automated means; (e) resell or share your access; or (f) use the Service in violation of applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
5. Your content and ours. You own the messages and material you submit. You grant us a license to process, store, and transmit your content as needed to operate the Service (including through the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy). The Service itself — including the personas, their names, likenesses, voices, software, and design — belongs to us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, you may use generated responses from your own conversations for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. Memory and data controls. Conversation deletion and profile controls work as described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. In short: you can delete conversations (permanent), and you can view, edit, or clear your profile in Settings.
7. Termination. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including for violation of these Terms or as part of beta operations. Sections 5, 8, and 9 survive termination.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synthemo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred dollars ($100).
9. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
10. Changes and contact. We may update these Terms; if changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, at sign-in). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions: philipaldenbenn@gmail.com.
